He was instrumental in introducing the services of many NVOCC operators to the Sri Lankan Shipping fraternity, was a pioneer in sea-air traffic, and was recognized by multinational freight forwarders for his services. He had contributed immensely to the bulk liquid transport in ISO tanks.
